The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office has urged the public to remain vigilant due to the current situation.

It has been discovered that fake WhatsApp contact numbers have been inserted into the address information on the Google Maps pages of several immigration offices.

Specifically, the number 081230030440 was found on the Google Maps pages of multiple immigration offices. The Google My Business feature, which allows users to edit business information, is suspected of being misused by irresponsible individuals.

“This is already concerning. We will write to Google to have the number removed and will also ask mobile operators to block the number,” explained Sandi Andaryadi, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Immigration.

Google, in turn, confirmed that unexpected changes have occurred in some business profiles and is currently conducting an investigation.

All users are advised to always access official immigration service information through the official channels of the Directorate General.

“Always double-check, don’t trust easily. Contact the official channels and social media of the Directorate General and Immigration Service. Use the online chat of the Directorate General of Immigration on the website www.imigration.go.id from Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 15.00 WIB,” concluded Sandi.
