On March 8, SATGAS (Covid 19 Task Force) issued 2 circulars regarding entry quarantine into Indonesia. One circular covering points of entry in Bali, Batam and Bintan, another for other points of entry such as Jakarta or Manado. Let’s check the main points of these circular
Indonesian authorities have reduced the quarantine period upon arrival via Jakarta and Manado to 1 x 24 hours. Now all fully vaccinated travelers and those who already got the booster vaccine just need to wait for a negative PCR test result at a quarantine hotel and after that they can continue their journey. Additionally, all travelers will need to do the 2nd PCR yourself on the 3rd day after arriving in Indonesia.
For Bali and the Riau Islands, fully vaccinated travelers or those who have received booster vaccinations are not required to go through quarantine. However, foreign tourists arriving in these regions must book a hotel from a government-approved list for at least four days and also make 2 more PCR tests. The first PCR test will be done at the airport upon arrival and the second one before check-out from the hotel on the 3rd day after arrival. If your first PCR test result is negative, you will be allowed to leave the room.
