We are pleased to inform you about an important update from the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia. On May 15, 2025, a new regulation was issued that introduces mandatory requirements for all immigration stay permit services, including visa extensions and new KITAS applications.
Key Points of the Regulation:
• Mandatory Photo and Interview: As per Point 6 of the circular, all applicants for immigration stay permits, whether applying for a visa extension or a new KITAS, are now required to attend a photo and interview session at the immigration office.
• Application Submission: Applications can be submitted either electronically (online) or manually (walk-in) directly at the immigration office.
• In-Person Attendance: All applicants must attend the photo and interview session in person at the immigration office where the application is submitted.
• Effective Date: This regulation will take effect 14 days from the date of issuance, which is May 28, 2025.
