Electronic Visa On Arrival (eVOA) Now Available For 97 Nationalities

Good News! Directorate General of Immigration is officially launched Electronic Visa On Arrival (eVOA).

eVOA application can be lodged through the official Immigration Indonesia website

It takes only a few minutes, and you don’t queue too long to pay for visa in arrival terminal buildings. Get more information below.

General Information

  1. eVOA is a single-entry visa which is valid for 30 days stay in Indonesia and can be extended only once for 30 days more at the Immigration office*.
  2. Foreigners who wish to enter Indonesia must hold a passport with an expiration date at least 6 (six) months from the date of arrival.
  3. The purpose of the visit is Tourism, Government Visit, Business Meeting, Goods Purchasing, or Transit.
  4. The eVOA fee is IDR 500,000. Please note that every payment via Debit/Credit Card will incur additional fees according to the financial institution’s regulations.
  5. The validity period of eVOA is 90 days from purchasing. If you do not use your visa within 90 days, it will be automatically canceled.

IMPORTANT

  1. Holders of travel document other than passport (i.e., alien passport, document in lieu of passport, refugee travel document) are not eligible to apply e-VOA.
  2. Each traveler must hold a separate e-VOA, including infants and children (even if children/infants are included in their parent passports).
  3. Once the e-VOA is processed, none of the information can be changed. The information on your e-VOA must be exactly the same as the information on your passport. Otherwise, your e-VOA will be invalid and there will be no refund. According to article 106 Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 44 of 2015, Immigration Officer at the ports of entry reserves the right to deny entry into Indonesia to a foreigner who provide incorrect information in the visa application.
  4. eVOA holders cannot apply for a new Stay Permit inside the country. If you would like to stay in Indonesia more than 60 days, you can get a Long Term eVisa 211A

How to apply for eVOA

As we said at the beginning of the article, you can apply for a visa online through the official website of Indonesian Immigration.

The documents to apply an eVOA are as follows:

  • Scan copy of the main page of passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of your arrival to Indonesia (format JPG/JPEG/PNG with max. size of 200 kb);
  • Passport size photo (format JPG/JPEG/PNG with max. size of 200 kb);
  • Email address;
  • A valid Mastercard, Visa, or JCB card.

You need to create a personal account on the website, enter your data, upload the necessary documents and pay the visa fee. If you did everything correctly, the completed visa will be sent to you by email.
