Indonesia Tourist Visa: a Compressive Guide
In fact, the main criterion for choosing a visa for tourism purpose is the duration of your stay.
✅ Visa on Arrival (VOA, eVOA) is ideal choice for a short visit (available for 97 countries).
VOA /eVOA is issued for 30 days extendable for 30 days more. So in total, you can stay in Indonesia up to 60 days, after which you must leave the country.
You can buy VOA at the airport upon arrival at a special counter, or obtain eVOA online in advance through the Immigration official website.
✅ If you would like to come to Indonesia for a long stay, or you are not available to obtain VOA/eVOA, you can choose Tourist Visit Visa 211A or Long-Term eVisa B211
Both visas are single-entry and issued for 60 days, extendable 2 times for 60 days each time. Thus, you can stay in Indonesia for 180 days in total.
* eVisa B211 can be converted into ITAS onshore, for obtaining the sponsor is required.
✅ If you would like to stay in Indonesia for a long-term, but needs to leave the country frequently is better to apply for a Multiple-entry eVisa D1.
eVisa D1 is issued for 1 or 2 years and allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days at a time, extendable 2 times for 60 days each time.
So it let you stay up to 180 days per visit, after which you need to leave the country, but you can return at any time.
